Settling in 100NL.... What a Rollercoaster day!

Before we begin talking about absolute craziness today, I've made a goal for November to play 50K hands. Its a really big number given the fact that I average about 30K hands a month, so hopefully I can do it. Last month I only got 13K hands in and now that midterms are over I should be able to grind the tables a lot more in the evenings. For the last couple of days I've been mixing in 50NL with 100NL tables, however today for some reason I really wanted to just play all 100NL. I obviously have more then enough buyins for it, but I always enjoyed mixing the tables because i tend to do very well at 50NL. Anyway today was a total roller coaster at 100nl!!!

I would definately say I had my A+ game going all day long despite massive swings.
The 100NL session started with me stacking a guy and playing very solid overall. I was up about 1.5 buyins or so for a couple of hours, and just as I was feelin very confident with myself BAM bad beat after bad beat non stop. I didnt get discouraged at all cuz its just variance, and after reviewing the hands I played it fine.
So I continue playing for another hour or so and the beats just kept coming and coming... Before I knew it i was in the red at -60$! I didn't really care though because it was only 60 bucks and I still had faith in the poker gods! So I took a break and went out to get dinner, all the while waiting to get back to the tables and play some more poker! After dinner I sat back down and played for about 60 minutes and BAM the beats kept coming and coming again. Before i knew it I was stuck 200 bucks! I was kind of annoyed/discouraged... I was bringing my A+ game and I was getting raped like no tommrorow. After an hour or so I was going to take a shower, and in a huge flurry of 10 hands I stacked like two and a half people!! I ended up even for the day lol. In the shower I was thinking about what a ridiculous day its been, all the ups downs and now i'm even again. I wanted to just stop and do something else because it was such a big waste of time (except for Rakeback), but for some reason after the shower I was itching to play liek crazy again (degenerate gambler??). When I came back I was DESTROYING everyone!! I think the graph from today says enough!!!!!! What a crazy day!!





I ended the day at 9.04 bb/100. Obviously a very successful day for me, especially with the way it started! Hopefully I can keep a 4bb/100 throughout my duration at 100NL! I cannot wait to get to 200NL!!! I've been eyeballing it for a while now ;)

In other news, I was given 10$ by UB a while ago to play on their site, I ended up just playing with it in the 6max games climbing them with just one buyin lol. I ended up moving up to 25NL with it and running that to 120$ haha... Did I mention that I was playing like a total maniac running like 80/60 LOL. Good times.

I am so poker-out right now... time to play some NHL09! Best game in the world.
