boo...

Well the trip didnt go to well for me, i was basically card dead the whole weekend in cash games and tournament. Despite only playing like a couple of hands in the cash game, i still made some money but andrew made 600$ picking up some big pots early on from the really horrible players. I dont really remember much about the cash game except it was full of really loose fishes and maniacs... it was just unfortunate i didnt pick up anything playable all night (andrew can tesitfy to this! )... in fact the one time one maniac who plays 90% of the pots and a big fish who was stuck like 1k both mucked, I already knew i was insta raising the pot against the leftover field which was tight/passive guys.. so i raised with 98o and a guy called and i took it down with a cbet. But hte funny part was andrew was like, 'you stole my move, i was gonna do that with 93o' lol... we think the same even tho i wasnt given much to work with!

The tournament was a complete disaster, i never made any mistakes except for one which was questionable at most (see below), but as usual i never got anything and i busted out maybe 2-3hrs in... I can pretty much tell you all the hands i played because i played so few. Things werent going my way the whole day and the 2 times i actually got the best hands of the day (AJ and QJss lol) people came over the top of me...
I only won one pot the whole day, chopped one, and lost all the other ones LOL

Hand 1:

i limp 54ss at 25/25, with 5k, guy raises to 200, there is literally 8 callers so i get a good price i call, miss flop and muck

hand 2: I get J2ss in the big blind with about 4600, CO guy limps, button limps , sb completes i check. FLOP AJ3r, sb checks, i check, CO fires (i decided to call his ass because hes been pretty aggro early and sounds like hes got air), too bad button calls and sb calls so i have to muck. Later on CO has nothing and bb had ace rag lol

Hand 3: blinds 25/50, i have about 4600 or so (just a guess). I get A4o in bb. button limps (he always limps, hes a big loose passive guy). sb complets. FLop AQ6cc. sb check, I check, he bets 100 into 150 pot, i call to look him up on the turn. Sb folds.
Turn: J. I check, he bets 100??? I could call and check river, but i decided to try to take control of the hand here and pumped it to 400, he thought for a while and called. River is a 8. I check, and if he fires i was plannin on giving it to him because i'm probably outkicked. He checks and shows A2o and we chop.. lol? wtf limp on button with a2o....

Hand 4: blinds 50/100, i get 54ss with like 4300 or so, i decide to take advantage of my tight image and make it 300 utg+3, everyone folds including some super loose guys cuz they think i got a monster and a guy in sb cold calls.. ouch... flop 5T8, the guy insta fires like 1100 into a pot thats only maybe 800 or so... lol... so i said something like 'sounds like you got two jacks over there' and mucked, he showed QQ

Hand 5: blinds 100/200, i have about 4k and Utg limps, and 2 passive guys limp on my right. The two people on my left are super tight so this is a perfect steal opportunity. I get a6o on the button and i decide to make a raise and hopefullly take it down preflop or maybe win it post flop... there was alota dead money. I made it like 1k (probably should of made it 1200, bad mistake) and the sb just cold calls LOL... I remember thinking that I didnt even want to see an ace come because shes prolly got aces... Anyway the utg limper calls and everyone else folds.... yay... flop 245r, she checks(obviously) and limper checks. Obviously the girl wants me to fire so i sit there pretending like im thinking of betting, then check. Turn 6, she fires obviously and the limper raises and im outta there. Later it turns out the guy had A3cc for a straight and the girl had QQ. Man limp calling 1k with A3cc... i dunno i guess he had a good price for calling?

Hand 6: blinds 100/200, i have about 3k and pick up AJ UTG + 2(beautiful hand!!) the sb, who just won a huge pot (from his a3cc above) and is at like 10k and he shoves all in over my raise. I think for a while, and say something like 'smells like you might have something like 77?', but then after thinking longer i decided it was better to muck because his re-shove wasnt with anything less then TT, and if he has an ace im crushed (i couldnt picture him doing that with ace rag)... so i mucked and and he showed me an ace so good laydown for me. Turns out later he had AK he said. Down to 3400 or so

Hand 5: im short now with like 3600 or so, and I get QJss utg at 100/200!!! yay!! i make it 600 again. Button shoves for like 1.5k total (i decided im calling this guy when he made the move), then SB reshoves for 5k LOLLLLLLLLLL WOOOHOOOOO....so i say to the dealer 'i get a hand again and this happens' and obviously fold. It was AA vs TT.. blah

Hand 6: im super short now, with like 2.8k or somethin at 150/300, i get the big blind and the button limps( the same loose passive guy that limped with a2o), he has about 5k and sb completes with about 3k behind, i obviously shove here because they both dont look interested at all. i shove with Q4dd and win my FIRST AND LAST POT EVER!!! YAY!!!

Hand 7: nothing really happens, i think blinds were now 200/400, and i get KT in bb with like 2.5k. One guy limps utg+2, he seemed like a pretty solid player. everyone else folds and with the two tight ppl on my left i obviously shove here for 2.5k. blinds muck and the limper thinks for a while and calls off half his stack with ATo??? wtf? if your gonna call off half ur stack u might as well raise preflop then?
Well i missed the flop and he got an ace and that was it. gg.

I got some pretty awsome pics with pros brad booth, antonio esfandiari and huck seed tho so that was definatly the highlight of my trip!

The good thing about my trip is that I can say that I really did not make mistakes, it was just that things werent going my way. everytime i had a hand someone just had to have something bigger and i made some standard laydowns which shows that at least i know what i'm doing (i could of been out much sooner). The cash games was a similar story in that there was one hand where i made a mistake, but for every other hand i played solid and good poker... i just wasnt catching any good cards oh well.
